Notre Dame

Starting Five: Jerian Grant, Troy Murphy, Chris Thomas, Luke Harangody, Ben Hansbrough

Bench: Demetrius Jackson, Jack Cooley, Matt Carroll, Pat Connaughton, Bonzie Colson, Chris Quinn, Zach Auguste, Tim Abromatis, V.J. Beachem

MVP: Harangody was a two-time Second-Team All-American, but Murphy was a two-time First-Team All-American, so that along with his very Irish last name gets him the nod.

I still, to this day think Harangody and Jack Cooley were the same player. The Grant-Thomas backcourt would be fun.

Pittsburgh

Starting Five: Brandin Knight (not the one from Kentucky), DeJuan Blair, Sam Young, Aaron Gray, Carl Krauser

Bench: Ashton Gibbs, Brad Wanamaker, Levance Fields, Chris Taft, Lamar Patterson, Michael Young, Chevon Troutman, Jamel Artis, Tray Woodall

MVP: This was a very close call between Knight and Blair. Both were Big East Co-MVP’s and All-Americans. Knight gets the edge for his even longer period of stardom.

For as bad as the Panthers have been lately, they have had some really good college players this century.
