Arizona Basketball: Top 10 Players to Play for Head Coach Sean Miller

10. Kaleb Tarczewski – Arizona Wildcats (2013-2016)

Career stats: 8.8 ppg 6.5 rpg 0.5 apg

A rare four-year starter for Arizona, Tarczewski was a quality defender in the paint who on occasion could have a good offensive night. He came out the shadows his senior season, averaging 9.4 ppg and 9.3 rpg, including three straight double-doubles in conference play.

9. Drew Lavender – Xavier Musketeers (2004-2008)

Career stats: 10.7 ppg 2.3 rpg 4.1 apg

After playing well in his first couple of seasons at Oklahoma, Lavender transferred to Xavier in Miller’s final seasons. The point guard helped the Musketeers get 55 total wins in two seasons, including leading the Atlantic 10 in assists as a junior.

8. Lauri Markkanen – Arizona Wildcats (2017)

Career stats: 15.6 ppg 7.2 rpg 0.9 apg

He was just with the program for one year, but Markkanen made a big mark as a big man. The future lottery pick was one of the best offensive players in the country and was a Wooden Award finalist. He had six double-doubles on the season and had a career-high 30 points against Arizona State.

7. Stanley Burrell – Xavier Musketeers (2005-2008)

Career stats: 12.2 ppg 2.6 rpg

A four-year starter who played with Miller all through his career, Burrell played a huge part in the Musketeers’ rise, which eventually led to Arizona picking the coach up. He was a consistent double-digit scorer while at Xavier and was more than willing to allow others to have the spotlight.
