15. Juwan Staten – West Virginia Mountaineers (2011-2015)

Career stats: 12.1 ppg 3.3 rpg 4.8 apg

Originally starting at Dayton, Staten became a solid starter for West Virginia including a huge junior campaign. He averaged 18.1 ppg, 5.6 rpg and 5.8 apg to lead the team, which had no seniors on the roster. Staten led the team in scoring his senior year as well, with the Mountaineers going up to 25 wins as a result.

14. Marcel Boyce – Akron Zips (1986-1987)

Career stats: 18.8 ppg 8.6 rpg 2.7 apg

In two years with the Zips, Boyce had a huge impact with the program. He led the team in scoring in 1986 in route to an NCAA Tournament appearance, as well as scoring 17 points in the near 15 over 2 seed upset against Michigan. Boyce followed that up in his final year, averaging 20.0 ppg and 9.2 rpg.

13. Darryl Bryant – West Virginia Mountaineers (2009-2012)

Career stats: 11.8 ppg 2.4 rpg 2.9 apg

A four-year starter in the backcourt, Bryant was a consistent scorer for West Virginia. He broke out in his final year with the program, scoring 16.9 ppg. If he was a more efficient player, then Bryant’s numbers would’ve been even better.

12. Louis Banks – Cincinnati Bearcats (1988-1991)

Career stats: 13.8 ppg 6.0 rpg 2.2 apg

Banks was the first star for Huggins when he arrived to Cincinnati. The 6’5 guard averaged 17.9 ppg and 6.9 rpg to lead the team, as the Bearcats finished second in the now-defunct Metro Conference, the best team finish in the league in years.

11. Cartier Martin – Kansas State Wildcats (2004-2007)

Career stats: 13.8 ppg 4.8 rpg 1.5 apg

In Huggins’ lone season with Kansas State, Martin was the star of the show. The senior forward led the team in scoring with 17.1 ppg, helping the Wildcats finish with a 23-12 record.
