Khyri Thomas – Pick 38 – Creighton/Detroit Pistons

the Pistons Stanley Johnson.

He can shoot, pass, and finish to varying degrees; he just needs some finishing touches on offense.

Bruce Brown Jr – Pick 42 – Miami/Detroit Pistons

Another Piston, some experts thought Brown might go in the late first round. Like Thomas, Brown is a hard-nosed defender.

At Miami, he performed well on offense and is a good rebounder. But to really shine in the NBA, he will have to develop more of a jumper.

Keita Bates-Diop – Pick 48 – Ohio State/Minnesota Timberwolves

Diop is another pick who some predicted would go in the first round, but he almost fell to the 50s. On one hand, you can say the Big Ten Player of the Year is versatile, but on the other hand some would argue that he is a tweener.

Either way, the Timberwolves got their money’s worth because Diop has a good feel for the game, which is always worth a flyer later.
