Shake Milton – Pick 54 – SMU/Philadelphia 76ers

The man with the best name in the draft ended up on a team that already has two solid point guards, that is if Markelle Fultz is staying.

But Milton’s strongest asset might be his versatility, and in a fluid league, that is quite a valuable skill. He did a little bit of everything on offense at SMU, but his defense will need to improve.

Kevin Hervey – Pick 57 – UT-Arlington/Oklahoma City Thunder

Had Hervey not torn both his ACL’s or had left school a year earlier, the high-scoring mid-major star might have been a first-round pick. He is big and can shoot and score with legit NBA level ability.

He will need to tone down the turnovers and general carelessness, but he is more than worth a late-round gamble.

The Most Intriguing Undrafted Players:

Gary Clark – Cincinnati

Trevon Duval – Duke

Malik Newman – Kansas

Kenrich Williams – TCU

Allonzo Trier and Rawle Alkins – Arizona

Angel Delgado – Seton Hall

Jock Landale – Saint Mary’s

Theo Pinson and Joel Berry – North Carolina

Keenan Evans – Texas Tech

Rob Gray – Houston

Trevon Blueitt – Xavier

Bonzie Colson – Notre Dame

Kendrick Nunn – Oakland

Next: Second Round Sleepers

Many of these second-round players and even those who went undrafted are still on track to have a positive NBA career. While they might not become franchise players, a solid decade in the top basketball league in the world is nothing to sneeze at.
