5. Hasahn French, St. Louis

St. Louis Billikens forward Hasahn French returns as a productive force them in the paint. Along with Jordan Goodwin, he has an opportunity to turn in a big season. He averaged 9.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.5 assists per contest as a freshman in 2017-18.

French was named to the All-Freshmen squad for his performance last season. He put up five double-doubles while shooting an efficient 53.5 percent from the floor. He set his career-high in points at 20 against the Dayton Flyers on Feb. 20. On March 3, he recorded a career-high 16 rebounds (10 offensive) against St. Bonaventure.

French should emerge as a solid paint protector in Year 2 with St. Louis. He put up a career-high six blocks against the La Salle Explorers back on Feb. 10. The rising sophomore put up at least one block in all but five of 32 games he played in last year. He started every game as a freshman, 2018-19 should be a breakout season for him.
