9. Phil Booth, Villanova

2017-18: 10.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.9 apg, 44.1/37.9/80 percent shooting

Welcome to the newest member of the “Wow, he’s still in college?” team! Booth made the NCAA all-tournament squad in 2016 after dropping 20 points as a sophomore in Villanova’s national title victory. After missing most of the following year with injury, Booth still has an extra season of eligibility, so he’ll finally be able to take over as a primary perimeter option for the Wildcats.

The redshirt senior is an effective shooter, and he can even create some open three-point looks for himself off the bounce. Still, Booth’s bread and butter is attacking the rim; nearly 72 percent of his attempts came at the basket last year.

Booth has already played in 112 career games, which is 35 short of Syracuse’s Brandon Triche, who set the Big East record with 147 games played from 2010-13. Should Villanova make another deep run in the Big East and NCAA tournaments – say at least to the conference championship game and to the Sweet 16 of the NCAAs – then Booth would likely take over as the Big East games leader (if he stays mostly healthy).
