Coby White

Coby White has it all when you look for a replacement for Berry. Berry was a scorer for the Tar Heels and that is what they have in White.

White is listed as a combo guard but he is able to run the point if need be. His flexibility in running both positions could create matchup problems for the other team.

A point guard to feed him the ball while he’s running the two will add a new wrinkle to the offense.

In high school, White averaged 30.3 points his senior year. He helped the USA U18 team win gold in the FIBA Americas U18 tournament where he had a 25-point performance against Argentina on the way to that gold medal game win against Canada.

White has the total offensive package. He can explode to the hole and take players off the dribble. He can knock down jumpers at a high rate.

White’s speed is what will really help him in Williams’ system. He has the ability to change the pace of the game will how he gets up the court. He will be able to put up points in bunches when the Heels are running the fast break.

When you hear those things it sounds like the Tar Heels have found Berry 2.0 but White will need to work on his distribution skills.

Also White does not have the experience that the next player on the list has as experience is what got the Tar Heels their last National Championship.
