Where do the finalists currently stand?

Purdue: The Boilermakers are the favorite for good reason. First, Purdue is located in the vicinity of Hall’s hometown. Second, Hall has been on the West Lafayette campus three times including twice for meaningful visits stated Brian Neubert of BlackandGold.com.

“They have a family environment,” Hall told D1vision about Purdue. “I love that about a school when it’s a giant family and you feel comfortable around everyone in the place. That’s one of their biggest upsides.”

The Boilermakers already have two commitments from the class of 2019, leaving them one projected scholarship available. And one of the players who have committed, Mason Gillis, is also a combo forward. But they need depth at both forward positions.

Four-star point guard Isaiah Thompson is the other player from the class to commit to Purdue. The Boilermakers have six open offers still on the table.

Michigan State: The Spartans are kind of late coming to the party as they only offered him on Aug. 14 when Hall was taking an unofficial visit.

The Spartans have yet to receive a commitment for 2019 and are projected to have four scholarship available. Although that could change if senior wing Kyle Ahrens seeks a fifth-year of eligibility after missing last year with an injury. The Spartans also will lose power forward Kenny Goins to graduation.

Meaning at the start of next year, current sophomore Xavier Tillman along with four freshmen would be on the position’s depth chart. Top-100 prospects Marcus Bingham Jr. and Gabe Brown are the top incoming forwards. Four-star Aaron Henry and Thomas Kithier are the other two freshmen forwards on the roster.

According to 247 Sports, Hall is not in their top-eight targets while fellow small forward Keion Brooks Jr. is believed to be a high priority.
