Devonte Bandoo – Hutchinson C.C.

Guard | 6-foot-3 | 185 lbs | NR – JUCO

Leading off this recruiting class is Devonte Bandoo, a highly-touted JUCO transfer who is coming off of an excellent campaign with Hutchinson Community College. At 6-foot-3, he boasts plenty of size for the guard position and should immediately make an impact on the Baylor program. Due to the fact that he is a JUCO transfer, Bandoo will be able to play right away for 2018-19 and he has two years of eligibility remaining.

As a player, Bandoo is well-rounded offensively with a penchant for 3-point shooting. During this past season, he exploded offensively to the tune of 16.6 points on shooting slashes of .496/.438/.812. A highly-efficient all-around scorer, Bandoo also averaged 5.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while starting in all 35 games for Hutchinson C.C.

Considering the Bears had to say goodbye to star guard Manu Lecomte after this past season, adding backcourt depth will greatly help the team during this season. With Bandoo’s all-around game, it seems likely that he will find plenty of minutes right away. More than anything else, Bandoo’s shooting will be extremely important this year.
