15. Mississippi State Bulldogs
Frontcourt players: EJ Datcher, Abdul Ado, Keyshawn Feazell, Prince Oduro, Aric Holman, Reggie Perry (No. 31 recruit), Robert Woodard (No. 63 recruit) and JUCO Jethro Tshisumpa
A frontcourt that was already set to be strong with returning starters will be much more deep and talented overall, thanks to a top-20 class that includes a few big men. The star is Perry, a 6’9 forward from Thomasville, Georgia that rose to be a McDonald’s High School All-American as a senior in high school. He provides offense while still being capable of guard smaller forwards depending on the matchups.
Woodard is a true small forward who’ll give the Bulldogs size at the three-spot while Tshisumpa is one of the best Junior College transfer prospects for 2018. He’s a true center at 6’10 and 260-pounds and should make an immediate impact.
The returning contributors on the frontcourt are Holman and Ado, who combined to produce 19 ppg and 13 rpg, while each blocked nearly two shots a night. Ado is the traditional center on the team while Holman can spread the floor, shooting 44% from three-point range on 84 attempts. In a league filled with quality big men, Mississippi State is suited to go toe-to-toe with any of them for 40 minutes.
