Key Reserves

Eric Hamilton

Never finding consistent playing time at Wichita State under Greg Marshall, the athletic 6’9 forward will gain eligibility this season and has potential to be a difference maker. Whether Hamilton joins Dickey in the starting lineup or comes off the bench is yet to be seen. However, Hamilton is a big get for Miller and will definitely find plenty of minutes up front.

Malik Massey

Massey shouldn’t receive a massive bump from his 14 minutes a game he saw last season. But, Coach Miller will be happy if he can simply provide good depth at the guard position once again. The junior should give UNCG some solid depth at the point guard position should anything happen to Troy.

Kylia Sykes

After losing the versatile 6’6 Marvin Smith, the Spartans will be looking for someone who can step in and make similar contributions. Sykes may not be the player Smith was for UNCG, but he does fit the bill as a 6’5 guard who should be able to give a spark of the bench when needed. Troy, Alonzo, and Miller are strong guards but only Alonzo stands above 6’0 at a modest 6’3. Sykes could find himself as a key reserve this season.
