What is next for NC State?

Keatts was able to secure the commitment of Lecque, but it was still only his first commitment of the 2019 class. Many teams in the ACC already have multiple commitments for the 2019 class. The Wolfpack are not behind the 8 ball as they were able to land their top target, but they will need complimentary pieces for the guard.

The Wolfpack and Kevin Keatts have two remaining open scholarships for the 2019 class. The two targets on the Wolfpack radar should not be considered complimentary pieces. If the Wolfpack can land either one of the remaining targets it may be the signature class for Keatts and would be the class that helps the Wolfpack return to consistent NCAA tournaments and possible Sweet 16’s.

Patrick Williams is a wing from Charlotte, NC and took his official visit to the home state school on September 7th. Williams brings an impressive offensive game that would pair nicely with Lecque and his ability. Williams can score from all three levels and is a good shooter. However, Florida State is the favorite to land the wings services. Wendell Moore is the other player in the 2019 class who has taken an official visit to Raleigh.  The Concord, North Carolina native is being heavily recruited by Duke and North Carolina. The Tar Heels are the favorite for Moore.

Even if Keatts is not able to secure the commitment of any other player in the 2019 class. He still has a great roster to build around and Lecque is going to further help the depth on the team. The outlook for the Wolfpack should be treated with great optimism.

Keatts has been able to bring this program back to relevance after just a season. Once the recruits start pouring in, it is only a matter of time until the Wolfpack show the rest of the ACC that there are three power programs in the state of North Carolina.
