Buffalo Basketball: 3 keys to upsetting No. 13 West Virginia
By Justin Golba
2. Jeremy Harris.
If you do not know this name by now, you will be the end of the season. One of the scorers and all around players in the MAC, Harris is poised to have a breakout Junior season and be in the conversation for MAC player of the year.
Last season, Harris averaged 15.5 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore and shot 47 percent from the field and 41 percent from behind the arc. Harris had a 23 point outing in the Bulls huge upset over Arizona in the NCAA tournament, but struggled in their next game against Kentucky, only putting up 10 points.
Harris is a long wing who can drive to the paint, shoot the ball from deep and also create his own shot. He will be a key to the Bulls success and if he struggles, they will as well.
They still have some great scorers in Nick Perkins and CJ Massinburg, but Perkins will have his hands full all night trying to contain the big men for West Virginia and and get good shots up over them, so it will come down to Harris to get the scoring going early and that will open the door for the other guys to get involved.
