UConn Huskies

The UConn Huskies are another program on the rise under first-year head coach Dan Hurley. They already own a victory over 15th-ranked Syracuse and have an 8-3 record but they’ve still got work to do on the recruiting trail.

They have a solid guard attack in senior Jalen Adams and Alterique Gilbert but there aren’t many frontcourt players they have to rely on. Sophomore forwards Tyler Polley and Josh Carlton are there but both bring different dimensions to the floor.

Coach Hurley has already earned the commitment of one big name prospect in center Akok Akok. Akok recently announced his decision on Dec. 1. He joins guards James Bouknight and Jalen Gaffney in their 2019 recruiting class.

Adding Wahab as their fourth commitment would be a huge boost to their rankings on a national level and certainly put the Huskies on the map. It will be interesting to see how UConn finishes up the 2018-19, if they finish on a high note, things could rise even more with a commitment from Wahab.
