10. Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-12, 2-6 Conference Play)

Previous Ranking: No. 9

At the time of the last rankings (three weeks ago), I highlighted Oklahoma State as a team that could (emphasis on COULD) have a run in them.

To put it lightly…. they did not.

In a span of three weeks, the wheels have come completely off of Oklahoma State.

Besides a win at home against a good South Carolina team in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, the Cowboys’ have had a really ugly stretch.

Losses to Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma and Kansas State have left the Cowboys just a half game out of the cellar, and three games below .500. You can guarantee there won’t be postseason play in Stillwater this year.

Oh, and it’s not like it’s been going any better off the court for Oklahoma State too. Three players (Michael Weathers, Maurice Calloo, and Kentrevious Jones) were dismissed two weeks ago for a violation of team rules.

Weathers was averaging 9.2 points per game, while the other two had limited roles. The losses now add up to a total of four players gone from the start of the season.

On the court, the production of key players has dipped significantly. Lindy Waters, at one time the Cowboys’ clear top player, is averaging just 12.5 points per game.

The end of the season couldn’t come any sooner for Oklahoma State, who are a complete disaster in every area imaginable.
