Top targets for Georgetown

Currently, Georgetown has two scholarships remaining to offer this year. The Hoyas have eight open offers, according to Verbal Commits. Here is a look at each prospect.

Cole Anthony: The 6-foot-3 combo guard is a consensus top-five player in the nation. He is down to six schools: North Carolina, Georgetown, Oregon, Miami, Wake Forest, and Notre Dame. Anthony, whose father Greg is a former NBA point guard, has said he does not have a favorite among the six schools. However, I believe that Georgetown will likely end up winning out with Oregon and Wake Forest also being significant factors.

Lester Quinones: The 6-foot-5 wing is a consensus top-90 player in the class. He currently holds 26 offers, although LSU is the overwhelming favorites, per 247Sports.

Clarence Nadolny: The unheralded 6-foot-4 combo guard is starting to get more interest lately as WVU assistant Ron Everhardt was recently at Scotland School (Greenwood, Pa.) to watch him and  DeQuarius Nicholas, per WVU Pat Harris. The French native, who came to the U.S. a couple years ago, currently holds offers from Georgetown, St. Bonaventure, George Mason, Dayton, Rutgers, and Hofstra.

Myron Gardner: The 6-foot-6 three-star wing currently holds nine offers. While the Hoyas are still in the mix for his services, 247Sports believes that he will almost certainly end up at Xavier. Cincinnati and Minnesota are also heavily involved with the Detroit native.

Carl Lewis: The Hoyas offered the four-star recruit a scholarship on Jan. 30, 2018. The consensus top-80 player also holds offers from USC and St. John’s. Both of those schools have been showing interest in the 6-foot-9 power forward since the summer of 2017. Lewis seemingly fits the mold of what Ewing is looking for in his big men, and they could use some depth at power forward.

Kenyon Martin Jr.: The Hoyas have been in pursuit of former NBA player Kenyon Martin’s son for over two years. So, he makes a lot of sense. The three-star power forward also holds offers from Cincinnati, WVU, Wichita State, FSU, Memphis, Oklahoma, Nevada, and Oregon State. There doesn’t seem to be an overwhelming favorite but the Bearcats, Tigers, and Mountaineers seem to be the Hoyas biggest competition for his services. Martin has officially visited WVU.

Josaphat Bilau: The 6-foot-10 Frenchman is currently playing at Spire Institute along with LaMelo Ball. He also currently holds offers from Wichita St. Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Penn State, Kansas State, Illinois, and Wake Forest.

Chol Marial: The consensus top-130 recruit is massive as he stands at 7-foot-2 and weighs 220 pounds. With the Hoyas already inking three centers, it is hard to imagine that the Sudan native is still high on Ewing’s priority list. He also owns offers from Arizona State, SMU, UCF, Iowa, WVU, FSU, St. John’s, Portland and Wake Forest.

Other possibilities?

Damion Baugh: The 6-foot-4 combo guard has taken one of his official visits to G-town,  but I’m not sure what the chances are that the Hoyas land him.

Memphis is believed to be the favorite for the three-star prospect services. He has also made official visits to TCU, Texas Tech, and Auburn.
