Bracketology Winners: Clemson, Ohio State quietly moving up
Alabama Crimson Tide
Did Alabama snag a resume-building win this week? Not really, but that did not mean that the team did have a very good stretch. The Crimson Tide, who entered the week right near the NCAA Tournament cutline, snagged back-to-back victories and now definitely belong in the field. To summarize, Alabam first defended their home court with a double-digit victory over Georgia. This should not have come as a surprise but their win over Vanderbilt on the road was also a solid performance. Head coach Avery Johnson has his team playing at a high level at the moment.
Ole Miss Rebels
After dropping four consecutive games, Ole Miss was in a rough place heading into this week. The Rebels started the season extremely hot but desperately needed to “right the ship” in order to remain in the NCAA Tournament field, especially when you consider how challenging the SEC schedule can be. And with back-to-back solid, albeit not tremendous, wins over Texas A&M (home) and Georgia (away) during this past week, they were able to just that. Additionally, it is important to mention that the Rebels will be favored in three of their last four games and they should keep improving their record.
