Indiana Hoosiers – NET ranking (51)

Despite losing nine of their last 10 games, Indiana Basketball was still projected to be in the Big Dance, thanks to their signature wins. But every loss the Hoosiers take, they test the patience of every Bracketologist.

This team had a pair of Big Ten bubble battles against Ohio State and Minnesota, teams below Indiana in projections. Unfortunately for them, neither game went their way, losing a close one to the Buckeyes before getting drubbed on Saturday at the Gophers. That game, in particular, was damaging from an eye-test perspective because of how bad the Hoosiers looked on TV.

Now at 13-12 (4-10) on the season, Archie Miller’s team is relying solely on the wins over Michigan State, Louisville, and Marquette to stay on the bubble. But the reality is this isn’t a good team right now and with the upcoming schedule, the Hoosiers could be under .500 sooner rather than later.

The next four games for Indiana are all against ranked teams (Purdue, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan State). Three of them are at home, although the Hoosiers had lost their last four at Assembly Hall. A 2-2 spilt will keep them upright on the bubble but accumulating more losses will seal their fate.
