10. Marquette Golden Eagles

Marquette has beaten every single team on their schedule not named “St. John’s” since Nov. 21. With a 23-4 (12-2 Big East) record, the Golden Eagles have asserted themselves as the clear favorite to win the conference at this point in time and they have under-the-radar potential to land a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Marquette has quietly pieced together an outstanding resume that features several Q1 wins. With Markus Howard, the Hauser Bros, and an improved defense leading the way, it is easy to see why they have a legit shot to make a very deep run in the Big Dance.

9. Texas Tech Red Raiders

Texas Tech is once again hitting its stride. After dropping some games a few weeks ago, the Red Raiders are currently riding a five-game winning streak to near the top of the Big 12. As has been the case throughout this season, the defense has been the headlining part of their success but it is important to mention that the offense has significantly improved over the past few weeks. In back-to-back home wins over Baylor and Kansas, the Red Raiders posted over 85 points in each. No longer is Jarrett Culver the only player producing on the offensive end as many have stepped up as of late.
