Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana is right in the thick of the NCAA Tournament bubble conversation. This might come as a shock to many considering the Hoosiers once lost 12 of 13 games earlier in the year but it is completely true. Thanks to an abundance of high-quality wins, head coach Archie Miller’s team has flirted with the potential for rejoining the projected field for some time despite consistently dropping games. During this past week, though, the team found a way to record back-to-back monster home victories.

First, they used a strong right-handed finish by Romeo Langford in an overtime period to dispatch the Wisconsin Badgers. This marked yet another tremendous victory for the team but their consistency has been an issue throughout conference play. Then, though, the Hoosiers finally came back with another huge performance in a victory over Michigan State. This not only completed their season sweep of the Spartans but also represented the first two-game winning streak since non-conference play.

With Juwan Morgan and Langford leading the way, this team clearly has the star power needed to make a surprising run in the NCAA Tournament. Thanks to the wins of this past week, Indiana is now right on the bubble cutline and they have a relatively easy schedule remaining. If the Hoosiers are able to notch wins over Illinois (away) and Rutgers (home) to close out the regular season, then they will likely be dancing.
