Locks

Virginia Cavaliers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Duke Blue Devils, Florida State Seminoles, Virginia Tech Hokies, Louisville Cardinals

The top of the ACC standings is all set as the Virginia Cavaliers and North Carolina Tar Heels are the ACC regular season title. The two No. 1 seeds are now owned by the Virginia Cavaliers and North Carolina Tar Heels while the Blue Devils have shown they need Zion Williamson back as soon as possible. He will be of great importance in the ACC Conference Tournament.

The Florida State Seminoles are finishing up their conference slate strong and have clinched fourth place in the standings. With that, a No. 4 seed shouldn’t be out of the question for them in the field of 68. The Virginia Tech Hokies are fifth in the standings after losing to the Seminoles on Tuesday night. They should still earn a No. 5 seed but they’ll need a healthy Justin Robinson if they hope to get past the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Louisville Cardinals have limped their way to the end of the conference regular season, losing five of their last seven games, but once they regroup for the ACC Conference Tournament, look for them to pull an upset or two. Right now, they’re a lock. Consider them a  No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament in our current projections.
