Work Left to do

Syracuse Orange

The Syracuse Orange are currently a lock to make the NCAA Tournament, but they’ve got a lot of work left to do if they hope to improve their seeding. Currently, they would project as a 10-seed since losing four of their last five ACC matchups.

The Orange have struggled down the stretch, though they’ve won 10 games in conference action heading into Tuesday. They need to finish the ACC Conference Tournament on a high note. They’ve lost to NC State on the road and were embarrassed at home against Virginia last Monday night.

Not that seeding should matter to a team like the Orange. As an 11-seed in last year’s NCAA Tournament, Syracuse made it all the way to the Sweet 16, so finishing strong is more about positioning than actually making the Big Dance. They’ve got talent with Tyus Battle, Oshae Brissett, Elijah Hughes, and Buddy Boeheim. They just all need to put it together and produce in these final few games in the ACC Conference Tournament.
