5. How long will Buffalo’s winning streak continue?

The Buffalo Bulls are one of the top teams in the mid-major ranks. They turned in a 31-6 season as a representative of the Mid-American Conference, going 16-2 in conference play and winning the regular season and conference tournament crowns in 2018-19.

Coming into the NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 seed, they have won 12 straight games, including all three in their conference tournament. Since losing 92-88 to the Bowling Green Falcons on Feb. 1, the Bulls haven’t lost a game.

They’re led by a senior trio of guards headed by C.J. Massinburg. Massinburg is producing 18.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals per contest. Senior forward Nick Perkins is their best reserve, putting up 14.4 points and 7.3 rebounds per game off the bench.

Last year, they upset No. 4 seeded Arizona in the opening round. This season, they’re a higher seed. The Bulls have the weapons and the positioning to make a run in the NCAA Tournament – let’s see if Nate Oats can keep them playing at a high level.
