1. Run the offense through Jarrett Culver

Jarrett Culver, the Red Raiders’ superstar sophomore and Big 12 Player of the Year, will be playing in his second NCAA tournament.

After taking a supporting role on last year’s squad, Culver will be at the helm of this year’s Red Raider attack. Culver lead Texas Tech with 18.5 points, six rebounds, and four assists per game.

Culver did it all for the Red Raiders, and lead them to a regular season championship. In the tournament, his role will be no different.

While they won’t be facing the most potent defense in the Norse, Texas Tech will need to run a fluent offense in order to avoid being upset. That offense was primarily ran through Culver this seasons, and that cannot change on Friday.

In order to avoid getting upset, Texas Tech cannot divert away from their typical practice. Often times, elite teams will freeze up in the tournament, and try to change course from their typical mode of offense. If Texas Tech goes away from Culver, chances are they’ll be going away from the NCAA Tournament after just 40 minutes.

The bottom line is this: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Texas Tech has been perfectly fine running through Culver, and they shouldn’t change that.
