4. Nevada Wolf Pack

The Nevada Wolf Pack were a No. 7 seed once again in the 2019 NCAA Tournament, but they were unable to get past the No. 10 seed Florida Gators in the first round.  Nevada lost 70-61 to the Gators and while some would call it an upset, the Gators were a team that was 7-3 across their last 10 games.

The Wolf Pack battled foul trouble throughout the game. Senior forward Tre’Shawn Thurman fouled out with 4:17 left. After that, the Gators finished on a 9-2 run to close out the contest.

Nevada entered the tournament with a lot of promise a mid-major and was heavily favored to at least make a run to the Sweet 16. Their loss sets them back a bit but it’s not a season for them to throw away.

They still finished 29-5 and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament from a mid-major conference. With seven seniors listed on the roster, a lot of changes should be expected going forward though.
