3. Kevin Willard, Seton Hall

Seton Hall Pirates head coach Kevin Willard has been a model of consistency in South Orange, New Jersey the past four seasons. He’s carried the Pirates to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, though, only one has gone beyond the first round.

He took over the program in 2010 and since then, he’s shown that he’s capable of building and maintaining a solid basketball team in the Big East. His time could be now to move on to a bigger conference in the ACC.

The Pirates went 20-14 in 2018-19, but they still earned an at-large bid as the No. 10 seed in the Midwest region. They were unable to defeat Wofford, but all eyes are on their 2019 recruiting class. Willard secured the pledge of top-rated recruit Tyrese Samuel back on Nov. 27. With some talent on the way, it will be interesting to see what Willard will do. He’s emerged as a top candidate for the Virginia Tech job. So, don’t be surprised if the Hokies are able to pluck him from the Pirates.
