8. TCU Horned Frogs

The TCU Horned Frogs had a pretty disappointing season, falling just short of the NCAA Tournament after starting out the season ranked in the Top-25.

The Horned Frogs were certainly a tournament-caliber team, but injuries and transfers really hurt TCU’s chances at playing meaningful postseason basketball.

For next season, the Horned Frogs will lose two of their best players in program history, as seniors Alex Robinson and J.D. Miller are on their way out after four great seasons in Fort Worth.

Additionally, TCU’s outlook for next season took a huge hit after the news of Kouat Noi deciding to play professional basketball next season was announced, as Noi was expected to move into an even bigger shooting role in his junior season for the Horned Frogs.

Returning will be Desmond Bane (assuming he pulls his name out of the NBA draft), budding stars Kevin Samuel and Kendric Davis, and presumably at least one big transfer, as TCU has an extra scholarship and is a finalist for UC-Irvine transfer Max Hazard amongst others.

The Horned Frogs also have a top-25 recruiting class, as top-50 guard/forward P.J. Fuller, the top player coming out of the state of Nevada, is heading to Fort Worth along with intriguing three-stars Francisco Farabello and Diante Smith.

TCU will certainly be going through some growing pains next season, but with a nice influx of young talent, TCU has the means to surprise people. Not to mention that their prized head coach Jamie Dixon will be returning despite heavy interest from UCLA.
