Pittsburgh Panthers

Jeff Capel and the Pittsburgh Panthers haven’t wasted any time looking to improve their frontcourt. They’re a finalist to earn the services of big man Khadim Sy and with experience in the ACC already, he could give the Panthers a different look than his previous stop.

The Panthers made Sy’s final five the weekend after he made an official visit to Pittsburgh’s campus. It wouldn’t be out of the question for Sy to return to the ACC as he’s played previously with the Virginia Tech Hokies. His addition would certainly bolster the Panthers’ frontcourt on both ends as well.

Pittsburgh already has a strong backcourt duo in Xavier Johnson and Trey McGowens. Adding Sy would also allow Au’Diese Toney to play his natural position on the wing. He had to play on the interior a lot as a freshman given their thin frontcourt. It would also give Terrell Brown another big to work with in the frontcourt.
