Mississippi State Bulldogs

Ben Howland and the Mississippi State Bulldogs have a few players headed to the NBA Draft, leaving next year’s roster in question. Impact big man Reggie Perry has the Bulldogs frontcourt in an influx as he tests the NBA Draft waters. Perry produced 9.7 points and 7.2 rebounds as a freshman for the Bulldogs, if he doesn’t return, there’s certainly a need to fill.

6-foot-8 forward Elias King and guards Iverson Molinar and Devin Butts are the current commits set to join the squad, leaving them with plenty to work with in the backcourt and on the wing.

With one scholarship available, don’t be surprised if the Bulldogs are on the market for a grad transfer on the interior. Nick Weatherspoon will be back to run the point guard position after missing the final 10 games of the season due to an unspecified suspension.

They’ve got a nice mix of experience and youth en route for 2019-20. Adding a grad transfer would certainly point them in the right direction from an NCAA Tournament point-of-view. Guard D.J. Stewart and big man Prince Oduro (Siena) are both also available after sitting out, so it will be interesting to see which candidates emerge.
