Chol Marial – #56

Marial is a very interesting player when you look more into him. He is a giant standing at 7 feet 1 inch, but he does need to add some muscle as right now he is weighing in at 220 pounds. I think that he has the ability to be one of the biggest forces in college basketball for his tenure when he gets on a D-1 workout routine. He is also being recruited by some of the best big man schools in the country in Connecticut, Georgetown, and Florida State. Each of them has always produced top-level centers at the college level.

He is from Chandler, Arizona but I do not think the Arizona State Sun Devils have much of a chance to sign him. I think it is down really to UConn and Georgetown. UConn has always produced high-level talent that has gone on to the NBA with the likes of Kemba Walker, Jeremy Lamb, and fellow big man Andre Drummond. For Georgetown, how can a center pass up the ability to play under Patrick Ewing one of the greatest of all time? He would benefit greatly from Ewing learning some of the post moves that Ewing played with in his career.

Prediction – UConn

I think that the Huskies are just too far ahead of all the rest of the competition right now. Even with the Hoyas of Georgetown improving every year, I do not think they are even in the same ballpark right now as the Huskies are.
