Johnny Juzang – #19

Johnny Juzang is brand new as he reclassified himself into the 2019 year. He is obviously a very smart kid as he carries an offer from Stanford. He is a shooter that can sometimes get ahead of himself. The 6’6 playmaker does have the ability to create his own shot which will help him tremendously at the next level. He has the potential to really help whatever team he goes to as long as his shots are falling.

Juzang is really considering Kentucky and Stanford as his main points of interest. Most every day people would think there is no choice from an academic standpoint, and then the sports community thinks the complete opposite. Bryce Love a running back from Stanford stayed in school to get his degree, and in most people’s eyes it really hurt his draft stock, but he loved school.

While Kentucky does offer more to Juzang as a basketball player, it all comes down to what he wants from this. At Stanford, he would be the featured player depending on what KZ Okpala does with the draft. With Kentucky he would be the Tyler Herro of next season for them. Both of them are very streaky shooters, but when they are hot there is no slowing them down.

Prediction – Kentucky

I think Juzang reclassifying to this season really help John Calipari the most out of anyone. It really helps his class assuming he manages to sign Juzang. For Juzang, he will have the opportunity to play with Tyrese Maxey and Kahlil Whitney, which is hard to turn down. The only issue will be finding a place to play him. Kentucky has already signed three players 6’6″ or 6’7″, but given Juzang’s ability to handle the ball I think will help his chances of seeing solid playing time right off the bat.
