Trendon Watford – #18

Trendon Watford is a scoring machine who can score the ball with ease, and with many different moves. He is not a great athlete, but I think that the schools that are really going after him want him for the points he is going to put up. He could shoot a 3 or beat you off the dribble. The schools that are really pursuing him are Memphis and also LSU which I think are both great fits for him.

Memphis already has solid defenders on their roster, and with the additions of 3 top 100 players already they are set up for success. Watford would be a recruit that I think could elevate them to a second weekend or bust team. That would be some lofty expectations for a team that in the last few years has been average at best. For LSU, them already losing Naz Reid to the draft hurts, but bringing in Watford who is a very similar player might ease that pain. They have been picking up momentum in recent days since the reinstatement of Will Wade. This recruitment is going to come down to the wire on who gets him.

Prediction – LSU

LSU is a program that over the past few seasons is becoming what they used to be with Shaq. They are a force to be reckoned with in the SEC now and Watford would be a key contributor in his tenure. Most of the time it is who closes the best on who gets the recruit in a close race and right now LSU is doing a very good job.
