Justin Powell – Indy Heat (IN)

National Ranking: No. 223

A strong combo guard prospect, Justin Powell should see his recruiting ranking skyrocket in the coming weeks. While playing for Indy Heat, he was particularly impressive from beyond the arc. Over the course of the four games, Powell shot 10-for-17 (58.8%) from distance en route to averaging 15.8 points per game. As a result of this strong play, his recruitment has started to heat up and that includes hearing from Kentucky a bit as of late. He is originally from the Bluegrass State and the Wildcats are one of the top programs in the country.

In addition to his scoring, Powell flashed a bit of his playmaking ability. He stands at 6-foot-5 and can definitely function as a secondary playmaker. He averaged 2.5 assists per game in Atlanta. Powell has been targeted by plenty of high-major programs already and he opened plenty of eyes with his performance against BABC in the session-opener: 26 points on 6-for-6 shooting from deep.

Nijel Pack – Indy Heat (IN)

National Ranking: No. 210

One of the biggest breakout players from the weekend, Nijel Pack made an impact early and often. While playing in all four contests for undefeated Indy Heat, he was one of the primary playmakers on the squad. He does not boast a ton of size at 6-foot-0, but gets to his spots well and was particularly effective inside the arc in Atlanta. He ended the session averaging 17.2 points (.581/.333/1.00), 3.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.

Pack’s recruitment has been relatively quiet and he is not one of the most highly-regarded players by recruiting services. With that said, though, it is reasonable to expect a boost in his recruitment given his play over this session. Pack was one of the biggest reasons that Indy Heat was undefeated in the session as he put together spectacular performances against some of the toughest competition.
