The USC Trojans hope to compete in the Pac-12

The Pac-12 had what seemed like a historically bad season last year, so much so that they were the butt of many a joke. A silver lining in a season like that is that the conference is up for grabs, and although the USC Trojans finished 16-17 and 8-10 in the Pac-12, head coach Andy Enfield is hoping a star-studded recruiting class is enough to put them among the conference’s top contenders.

Enfield will have to replace Bennie Boatwright, who graduates, and Kevin Porter, Jr. who left early for the NBA Draft. Guards Derryck Thornton and Jordan Usher have decided to transfer, but forward Daniel Utomi who averaged 14 points and five rebounds for Akron last season is eligible immediately, as is Quinton Adlesh who netted 13.5 points for Columbia.

The Trojans also bring in a top-ten recruiting class that has two five-star players, 6-9 forward Isaiah Mobley and Onyeka Okongwu, a 6-9 center from Chino Hills. Enfield also brings in small forward Max Agbonkpolo and went to Georgia to nab point guard Kyle Sturdivant. Ethan Anderson, who originally committed to UNLV but reopened his recruitment when the Rebels made a coaching change, also landed at USC, as did one of the nation’s top dual-sport threats, Drake London, a 6-4 shooting guard, and top wide receiver.
