Blaise Beauchamp – Howard Pulley (MN)

SG | 6-foot-1 | 160 lbs | Unranked

Another major breakout player, Blaise Beauchamp should have opened plenty of eyes in Dallas. While playing for Houston Hoops, the shooting guard put up strong numbers as he consistently showed the ability to knock down perimeter jump shots. In the modern era of basketball, there is no such thing as “too much shooting” and it seems as though Beauchamp will bring a sniper’s mentality to a college program in the near future.

While unranked by 247Sports, Beauchamp’s performances this past weekend should yield some newcomers to his recruitment in the future. Across the five games in Dallas, he was incredibly impressive with his scoring ability. He was an offensive leader for the Howard Pulley (MN) throughout the weekend while posting averages of 21.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. He also showcased his willingness to let it fly from deep by shooting 19-for-45 (42.2%) from three.

Beauchamp currently only holds one Division-1 offer in UC-Riverside, but I would expect that more schools become interested as he continues to fill it up. Elite shooting is a skill that should definitely translate and he has shown the ability to knock down trifectas with efficiency and volume.
