Strengths

With his 6-foot-10 frame, he’s proven to be a rim protector and if he finds the right fit in the NBA, he could find himself having quite the career at the next level. He’s still developing his game on offense but showed off quite the skill set at Texas.

He runs the floor well on both ends for a player of his size and has strong hands in the paint. He’s got a wingspan of 7-foot-3 and with it, he’s proven to be a quality shot blocker and has the strength to finish strong at the rim.

Hayes recorded a career-high six blocks against the Oklahoma Sooners on the road back on Feb. 23. He recorded a block in all but three games during the regular season.

He’s got solid hands in the paint as well, which allows him to catch and finish with authority. It’s a trait he showed on numerous occasions with the Longhorns. At worst, look for him to be able to block shots, rebound and catch and finish at the rim with authority.
