Dylan Windler – Belmont

I am well aware that Belmont is not an NCAA Basketball powerhouse; in fact there has never been a player drafted from Belmont in NBA draft history. Dylan Windler will definitely be selected in the upcoming draft, but the debate on where has become much broader. The 76ers may be reaching if they use their first round pick on Windler, but there is also a strong possibility that he will not be available at the 33rd pick.

In my opinion, Windler may be worth the reach at 24 because his skill set fits perfectly with Philadelphia, especially on the offensive end of the court. He shot an astounding 43% from three-point range in his senior season, and averaged over 40% for his four-year college career. In addition to his three-point prowess, he shoots 54% from the field. My belief is that JJ Redick’s time in Philadelphia may be coming to a swift end and Windler could be an apt replacement

. His defense cannot be worse than Redick’s and the contract difference would allow the Sixers to bring in more veteran role players to come off the bench. It sounds that Windler had a pretty impressive pre-draft workout for the 76ers and I would like to see him in the red, white and blue next season.
