Julius Marble – Dallas, TX

PF | 6-foot-8 | 225 lbs | No. 210 overall

With Nick Ward and Kenny Goins both departing this offseason, there is room in the frontcourt for up-and-coming contributors. With that said, though, the program already has a ton of internal rising talent that looks poised to take on substantial roles during this coming season. Because of that, it seems unlikely that Julius Marble will be an immediate contributor but he still has plenty of game and will be a major piece of the puzzle down the road. He might be the lowest-rated player in the class but it would be a mistake to overlook his arrival.

At 6-foot-8 and 225 pounds, Marble is already a well-built prospect with a college-ready body. He is listed as a power forward by just about every recruiting service and his playing style fits that mold as well. As a modern-day forward, Marble is a reliable rebounder who also uses his size quite well on both ends. He also showcases a nice touch on his jumper and is solid defensively.

On the whole, Marble was a bit of underrecruited prospect due to suffering an injury that caused him to miss most of his junior season and the AAU circuit that followed. Now that he is back to form, Marble has the potential to be a major contributor. As already discussed, this playing time might not come right away but he should be able to find a substantial role later in his career at East Lansing. It is possible, though, that he creeps into the rotation as a freshman even if that does not seem like the projected lineup right now.
