Strengths

Upon first glance, Langford fits the mold of a prototypical NBA wing. Standing at 6-foot-6 with a lengthy 6-foot-11 wingspan, his frame should allow him to thrive in a much more physical environment at the next level.

At his size he is destined to be tough to blow by when guarding on the perimeter. His 8-foot-7 standing reach might also allow him to contest shots down low at a consistent rate. Defensive versatility is quite the rage in today’s NBA, and Langford has the upside to provide exactly that.

But Langford’s calling card is found on the other end of the floor, specifically in his ability to score inside. His 65.9 percent shooting stripe when at the basket is ridiculously efficient. Under the right amount of NBA spacing he should theoretically have even more room to do damage there.

He is not necessarily one-dimensional on offense either; Langford tagged a solid 2.3 assists per game this past season. And while he may get a little too loose when dishing the rock (2.1 turnovers per game), he has shown the ability to both dump it off to bigs on drives and to see over the top of defenders on the wing.
