15. Tyrell Jones, Auburn Tigers

The stage is wide open for Tyrell Jones to take the stage as the Auburn Tigers lead guard in 2019-20. Point guard Jared Harper is off to the NBA Draft, leaving them without a starting point guard and here emerges, Tyrell Jones.

Jones is a 6-foot-1 guard that jumped onto the radar in the 2019 class roughly a year ago and hasn’t looked back. He played a strong senior season despite being injured for most of it.

He’ll be sidelined for a few months after a left tibial stress fracture was discovered after he played much of his senior season at West Oak Academy (FL) in considerable pain. He underwent surgery in Birmingham to correct the issue.

His rehab process aside, Jones is a player that’s expected to play a role right away for the Tigers. Look for his name alongside another Auburn freshmen as impact players to watch this upcoming season in the SEC.
