Jay Heath Jr., Guard

Jay Heath is an underrated prospect from the prominent DMV area. and was the first commitment in Boston College’s 2019 class. Heath is a 6-foot-3 combo guard that spent most of his senior year at the point guard position this past season at Wilson High School (D.C.).

Heath and his Wilson High squad posted a 25-8 record this past season, falling in overtime in the championship of 2019 DCSAA Boys Basketball State Class AA Tournament. Heath made a name for himself at one of the top public schools in the DMV area while disposing of some top private schools.

He’s versatile enough to play off the ball and create his own shot. He’s an underrated slasher that can get to the paint and finish strong through contact. As he continues to develop his jumper, his ability to score should really take shape.

He’ll have help around him with Wynston Tabbs and a key graduate transfer in the rotation for work with. Heath is a player with tons of room to grow, especially with the gritty style Boston College plays with.
