Calvin “C.J.” Felder, Forward

C.J. Felder is a 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward that can play inside and out for the Boston College Golden Eagles. He’s a prospect that picked BC over Murray State, VCU and Georgia Tech, choosing to go to the ACC over a few other mid-major programs.

Felder should challenge Steffon Mitchell in the rotation after Mitchell had a bit of a down year in the production department. He produced 4.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game in 2018-19 through 27 appearances. Mitchell battled through injury during the season which caused him to miss four contests.

As their best rebounder, Mitchell should challenge Felder for playing time in the rotation, especially with Vin Baker Jr. transferring away from the program. Felder’s biggest asset should be his versatility, especially in the frontcourt. He’s a player that can play the off-guard or forward position, giving them quite the prospect to work with for awhile.

Felder is a prospect that could be looked to as a spark off the bench with his ability to attack the basket and knock down shots behind the arc. He’s one freshman that will be looked upon to make noise right away as a versatile big in the frontcourt.
