Hoosiers targeting Anthony Leal

Leal is a consensus four-star wing and a high priority for Miller. He is 247Sports and Composite’s top player in Indiana.

The 6-5 shooting guard is versatile but what he does best is shoot the 3. Leal can score on all three levels and has a knack for getting to the rim while also being able to knock down a mid-range jumper off the dribble. Additionally, he is a tough defender who has the ability to guard multiple positions.

Butler, Northwestern, Stanford, Xavier, Cincinnati are among the 10 offers that the Bloomington South product currently holds. Leal said that he will take a visit to Cincinnati sometime and hopes to make a decision before the beginning of the high school season.

Miller got a late start in the recruiting process in 2017 as he wasn’t tabbed to lead the Hoosiers until March 2017. As a result, he did not get any of Indiana’s top high school prospects. Miller did reel in three of 247Sports top four players from the state in 2018 — Romeo Langford, Damezi Anderson, and Robert Phinisee. His two 2019 recruits Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin rank in the top six of the state of Indiana.

IU has two roster spots available for 2019 and is reportedly currently only pursuing three-star Jordan Mitchell (Columbus, OH). However, Mitchell is expected to ultimately end up either at Florida or Ohio State.
