Martynas Arlauskas – Lithuania

SF | 6-foot-6 | 185 lbs | No. 134 overall

An international prospect with plenty of skill and athleticism, Martynas Arlauskas projects as an excellent option on the wing. He brings plenty of size at 6-foot-6 and can function at multiple different positions. With regards to his play on the court, Arlauskas can be dangerous in multiple situations. He can be a solid perimeter threat as a shooter but is also an elite playmaker for his size. Arlauskas probes the inside well off the bounce and feeds his teammates in positions to score.

Due to this offensive versatility, his projected impact is largely based on that end of the floor. With that said, though, he could emerge as a solid defender as a result of his athleticism and size. He should be able to switch between a few positions. The expectation should be that he is a solid impact player, especially on the offensive end of the floor. He is coming from the international ranks, so there might also be a learning curve to take into account. In six contests of the FIBA U19 World Cup, he is averaging 5.8 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.

Gonzaga already has some nice pieces on the wing for this coming season, so it may be difficult for Arlauskas to find a major role in the rotation. Arlauskas’ ceiling is quite high but he still has plenty of room for more refinement in his game. He could be yet another international success story for the program down the road. The potential is there but he might be a redshirt candidate.
