Brock Ravet – Mabton, WA

CG | 6-foot-1 | 175 lbs | No. 176 overall

Brock Ravet is the lowest-rated player in Gonzaga’s incoming recruiting class, but he has generated his fair share of buzz. A score-first point guard with above-average court vision, many have already projected that Ravet will be a part of the rotation right away as a freshman. Although not the most athletic guard in the 2019 class, he is quite skilled and can be a rock-solid option at the point guard slot. He might never be a “star” at the college level but it would be a mistake to overlook his skill and consistency.

On the offensive end of the floor, he creates for himself relatively well and can knock down 3-pointers with consistency. Ravet has also shown the ability to make some superb passes. There are some concerns regarding his individual defense but he should understand scheming and be a reliable team defender at the college level. Although a solid athlete, this holds back his potential a bit.

Heading into this coming season, Gonzaga will likely turn to Ryan Woolridge and Admon Gilder to hold down the starting backcourt spots. With that said, though, Ravet could be a solid reserve option. Given his abilities as a playmaker and scorer, he can function in differing roles. Depending on the pieces around him on the court, Ravet can be a spark plug scorer or steadying playmaker for the reserve group.
