Toumani Camara – Hollywood, FL

SF | 6-foot-6 | 190 lbs | No. 97 overall

An excellent athlete with plenty of skill on the perimeter, Toumani Camara comes in ranked just inside of the top-100 for the class. Although his frame is a bit thin, he uses his height and quickness well on both ends of the floor. On the defensive end of the floor, his potential is through the roof with his ability to cover multiple positions. He can already defend 2-through-4 relatively well and that should only improve with added strength. His versatility as a defender will be welcomed in Athens as he continues to develop his offensive game.

Even though Camara is capable as a perimeter shooter, he has also shown the ability to attack closeouts and make things happen for himself and teammates. When on the court, he can function as a secondary playmaker on the wing and that opens up opportunities for the rest of the roster to score. There is room for development, but he already brings a solid two-way impact to the table. He will finish his fair number of dunks with Georgia as well.

With so many wings in this recruiting class, it is hard to project the roles that each newcomer will fill. Regardless, Camara is quite talented and his defense at multiple positions should warrant some playing time. That kind of versatility is always a great attribute to have with regards to cracking the lineup.
