Christian Brown – Mouth of Wilson, VA

SF | 6-foot-6 | 205 lbs | No. 67 overall

A 6-foot-6 wing/forward out of Oak Hill Academy, Christian Brown is a superb athlete with room to grow. At this point in time, he is an excellent finisher in transition and as a slasher while showcasing some shooting ability out to beyond the arc. Somewhat akin to Walton, Brown is not a great creator for himself or others but can still be a dangerous offensive threat. This is especially true if he gets it going as a shooter because that will make attacking the basket easier. Due to his athleticism, Brown is also an above-average rebounder for his position, which is an attribute that often goes overlooked.

In addition to already being a solid offensive option, Brown could be a terror defensively. He, like many others in this class, has the potential to defend multiple positions and can be instinctual with regards to swatting shots and creating steals. He can be a roaming playmaker on that end of the floor and this could warrant playing time right away in a crowded group of perimeter players. It is seemingly impossible to gauge the roles for the wings in this recruiting class and it will be interesting to see the rotation that Coach Crean settles on.

Regardless of whether Brown is starting or coming off the bench, it is reasonable to assume that he will be among the players receiving minutes from the start next season. He can play multiple positions and impact the offensive end in a variety of ways. That is extremely important for finding a role as he can fit in many situations.
