Armaan Franklin – Indianapolis, IN

SG | 6 – foot – 4 | 185 lbs. | No. 148 Overall

Coming out of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Armaan Franklin is a modern shooting guard. While he is on the floor he is going to try his best to get an open shot, he crashes the boards well and shows off his athleticism whenever he can. During his senior season, Franklin averaged 23.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.3 steals a game. His outside shot is really effective and he if efficient inside the arc as well.

Franklin is an in-state player that wants to be a Hoosier, he has a good frame and size for the position at the college level, and he should prove to be an effective player at IU. The only question is when will he fully adapt to the college game? It would not surprise me if he got 10 minutes a game as a freshman and provided quality minutes on the floor.

It will be tough for Franklin to earn a ton of playing time on this season’s team. The Hoosiers return three other guards that averaged at least 27.3 minutes a game. With Aljami Durham returning after averaging 8.3 points a game and Devonte Green returning after a solid junior season, it will be difficult to find minutes. However, Franklin may be the best three-point shooter on the team, and Archie Miller’s team desperately needs shooting based on their 31.4% average last season.
