Everyone loved to hate Laettner throughout his career. He played for the hated Blue Devils, just had this look and swagger to him that made him almost unbearable.
He was just really good which made it even worse. It got even worse after the 1992 NCAA Tournament.

Kentucky had a 103-102 lead with 2.1 seconds left in overtime and Grant Hill inbounding the ball on the baseline.
He launched the perfect pass to a waiting Laettner who caught it, faked to his right and turned around with a dribble to his left and a fadeaway.
